Employee On-Boarding: An Event or a Process?

Over the last 15 years I have been studying Employee Engagement in organizations.  I always found it interesting that most employees disengage within the first year of employment.  We get employees so pumped up during the interview process and then they start – Wha Wha Whaaa!
